Tropical storm Harvey path update: Storm track, weather models, live forecast, latest maps
TROPICAL storm Harvey threatens to bring heavy rainfall to Caribbean islands including Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao later today. Will Harvey turn into a hurricane? Here are the latest tracking updates, storm maps and NOAA advisories.
Harvey is currently located near latitude 13.8 North, longitude 65.9 West and is expected to continue moving westward for the next couple of days.It is likely to bring adverse conditions to Central America and/or Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula early next week. There are not currently any coastal watches or warnings in effect but local residents are advised to continue monitoring Harvey’s progress.Earlier this week Hurricane Gert tore through the Atlantic Ocean towards the UK. The storm has now been downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone but is expected to bring torrential downpours and strong winds to the north and west of England, but warm weather for the south east.Met Office forecaster Aidan McGivern warned that ex-hurricanes are notoriously hard to predict.“Hurricanes tend to have small, intense features and that means it is difficult for computer models to precisely get a hold of where they are going to go,” Mr McGivern said.

“And only very small changes in their path could lead to very big differences down the stream.”After the storm has passed Britain should hopefully “return to Summer”, forecasters have said.Temperatures could hit 28C as Gert pulls warm air in from the Atlantic.. 00FastNews. New source of news.
