If you figured 99% totality was good enough, you missed out. I drove to Lake Hartwell, GA to see this natural phenomenon and being in totality was definitely worth it! Can’t believe I looked at the sun! This was the first solar eclipse in the United States since 1979.
A solar eclipse is when the moon passes between the sun and earth. It is estimated that a single spot on earth will experience a solar eclipse every 375 years.
