  1. The funnel was nearly all the way to the ground as it passed by my place near Alpha, Ohio that evening. I was taking photos and got the funnel cloud on my camera by mistake….and a video too. It headed north and missed my place by about half a mile. Good video.

  2. I've got a bit of an odd question..I'm doing some intense research into this small outbreak, since it seemingly came out of nowhere. I'm seeing if there was any clue as to this happening. I'm a resident Cincinnatian, but I go to college at WSU. I wasn't up here last year, so can someone tell me if anything seemed off that day?
Was there even a tornado watch issued that day?
Did you have any warning? (Aside from tornado warnings that went out)?
I'm still compiling and analyzing the data, so it's too early to tell what happened. But if this is seen, can anyone help?

  3. I lived there from 2000-03 and saw the 2000 tornado from our kitchen window. It freaked my wife out terribly but was fascinating. Unfortunately, three people died, IIRC. Xenia, especially McDowell Ave., will always have a place in hearts. When we moved to Omaha in 2010, it was even worse, but those were some of the most impressive thunderstorms and wall clouds ever.

  4. Very nice footage. Considering the fact that I live in Xenia myself and I'm a huge geek when it comes to spotting stuff like that, I'm surprised that I didn't see that rotating in the sky.
