  1. I used to live in Tornado Alley and this is just a normal summer storm. I can remember just a regular thunderstorm that ripped roofs off of houses and businesses. A true tornado could've caused some major devastation in NYC. I don't even want to imagine that. You think what happened in NYC on 9/11 was bad? Think of what an EF5 tornado would do to that city. It'd look as though a nuclear bomb detonated.

  2. Why do people have to all the time just because they are from the midwest have to brag about having worse tornadoes? Who cares? I mean really, I'd trade you what we went through down here on April 27, 2011 any day. It's not something to brag about having 200 plus people in your state die one day due to what happened. Please. Keep it.

  3. Definitely higher than 60 mph gusts of wind. You were near some sort of funnel cloud or a tornado was down somewhere nearby but couldn’t tell because the heavy rain completely obscured the view. But that was a tornadic thunderstorm no doubt. That could of been a weak supercell with that bow echo. Now no matter, that was very impressive. Winds looked like they gusted around 100 mph since you have a period of zero visibility with that rain.

  4. Amateur chaser is amateur. People, not all tornadoes have a visible condensation funnel. Please remember that during storms. Video is great, but this guy was a moron. You never, ever stand in front of a window as a tornado warned storm comes at you. ESPECIALLY when your ears start popping because the tornado is upon you around 2:40. This is how people are hit by debris and die.

  5. That was pretty intense! Much more than 60 m.p.h! There clearly was rotation and you can see it from approx the 2:40 until 3:40 mark! Probably about 115-130 m.p.h! Thanks for sharing and you have a great voice for broadcasting!

  6. You do realize 100mph is weak for a tornado right?
Oh and that weather has nothing on tornado ally weather..
Trust me, I live there. It gets worse.

  7. Looked more like a down draft or straight line winds…So how much water did he have to clean off the floor ?…

  8. that was definitely more than 60mph wind gust and is it just me or does this guy's commentary sound like the storm chaser Reed Timmer, Reed is so well known to get overly excited about storms and tornadoes and this guy reminds me of him so much!
