The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has issued a tropical storm warning for Trinidad and Tobago. The warning came into effect from 6 PM this evening. Grenada and its dependencies have also been placed on Tropical Storm warning. C News spoke to Senior Meteorologist Arlene Aaron Morrison at the Meteorological Service a short while ago, and she explained what it means for the country.
The Meteorological Service says gusty winds with street and flash flooding are likely in areas of heavy showers or thundershowers. There’s also the possibility of landslides and landslips. Sea conditions are also expected to become very disturbed which will adversely affect marine and coastal interests.
Citizens are being advised to follow the directions of their disaster emergency managers now closely and to adopt all necessary measures to preserve life and property.
