Mars seen by Hubble 2018





The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has imaged Mars on 18 July 2018, just 13 days before Mars reached its closest approach to Earth. On 27 July 2018, Mars will be opposite the Sun in our sky. On 31 July 2018, Mars will be at close approach, the point in Mars’ orbit when it comes closest to Earth, at distance of 57.6 million kilometers (35.8 million miles).
