Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald – Official Comic-Con Trailer

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald – In Theaters November 16

Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is the second of five all new adventures in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World™.

At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

The film features an ensemble cast led by Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, with Jude Law and Johnny Depp. The cast also includes, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, and Poppy Corby-Tuech.

“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling. The film is produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.

Slated for release on November 16, 2018, the film will be distributed worldwide in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

  1. What if Grindelwald's vision was a prophecy? What if he saw Voldemort rising to dominance over the wizarding world? At this time Voldemort was just born.

  2. Because they called all this "Wizarding World" I supposed that the posibilities are with no ending so may be they can gift us the Voldemort´s story at the end of Fantastic Beasts.

  3. Dumbledore is soooooo miscast. They needed someone with a lower voice for a start – I was hoping for Liam Neeson. Also, he should be much older: Dumbledore is in his hundreds by the time Harry is at Hogwarts.

  4. Okay I know there's words going around that there won't be explicit gay scenes for Dumbledore and Grindelwald in this movie but 2:08 looks to me like the same scene and idk about y'all but I can see so much pain in dumbledore's eyes… very personal pain. Not to mention Grindelwald's smirk and then immediate drop of said smirk. And also later he asks Newt if Dumbledore would mourn for him in almost an angry jealous way?? Even if these don't pan out to be heavily hinted gay scenes I'm still exceedingly hyped for this movie!
