May 2, 2012 – Kearney Nebraska US
Storms were to develop that early afternoon but the dry line stalled just to the west of Kearney Nebraska. Late afternoon into mid evening area of instability was right on top of us.
We had 2 sets of storms. Due east, southeast, there was this beauty. 180 degrees was a forming cell that was just developing. I could have chased this cell but decided to stay put to capture these amazing images from that day. Rarely do we get to see the full development from nothing to a full fledged supercells.
These fast developing storm cells produced some of my best storm photography for 2012.
